Bro. Brian Armstrong - Pastor

About our Pastor!

As Pastor Brian Armstrong's wife, I can tell you he is faithful to the church and to the Lord.  I have watched him grow in the Lord in a great way through the years.  Bro. Brian stepped in as Pastor in one of the hardest times of the church and our lives.

I am thankful for my Pastor!  He lives by the Word of God.  He tries hard to be the man of God he needs to be for the church and our family.  He loves serving the Lord with everything in him.  I pray that God will continue to use him and Wind of Pentecost in a mighty way.

Isaiah 52:7   How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace;  that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!

Romans 10:15   And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

God bless my Pastor!

God bless you in Jesus name

Sis. Andie Armstrong - Pastor's wife & Choir Leader

Choir Leader

Psalm 149 and 150 speaks of singing praises unto the Lord with instruments and with dancing.  The Lord deserves all our praise!  I believe in praise and worship, it will change things.  Anointed singing and music drives the old devil away!

I Samuel 16:23 speaks of David playing for Saul, and Saul was refreshed and the evil spirit departed from him.

Psalm 22:3, thou that inhabitest the praise of Israel.  When people praise the Lord, he comes and inhabits our services.  He heals the sick, he fills souls with the Holy Ghost, he encourages, and he refreshes us.

It's encouraging to hear a choir and musicians sing and play for the Lord.  It causes excitement in the services.  Praise is so important in our everyday lives and our services.  It drives the spirit of deadness out of our services.  God deserves all our praise.  I love giving praise to the Lord.  I couldn't imagine not being able to praise like we do!

We must keep on giving God our praise.  The Word said, "I will bless the Lord at all times, his praise shall continually be in my mouth!"  I can't help myself, I've got to praise him.  He is so worthy!

I encourage you to keep on singing and playing for the Lord!

God bless you in Jesus name

Sis. Andie Armstrong

Sis. Missy Shoumake - Youth Teacher & Choir Leader

Choir Leader

Wind of Pentecost Apostolic Choir has one purpose, and that is to uplift and praise the name of Jesus.  We believe in giving our all, even if we're only having a choir practice.  We, as a unit - everyone - is important.  There are no big "I's" and little "you's" because we are all working together to bring the Gospel in song and praise.

I am thankful to be a part of God's work.  Our prayer is that Jesus will inhabit our praise and make us all vessels of honor for His glory.

Youth Teacher

I love our youth, and I just want to be a vessel that God can use to help them draw near to Him.  At the first of this year, I began praying for each one of the youth to be baptized in Jesus name and filled with the Holy Ghost.  All of them have been baptized in Jesus name and only one does not have the Holy Ghost yet.

I know that God is sending many more, and I just want to do my part to help them learn more about Him.

It is an awesome responsibility to teach the young about our God and all of His ways.  Keep me your prayers that I would stay in His will.

God bless you in Jesus name,

Sis. Missy Shoumake

Sis. Samantha Hutcherson - Sunday School Teacher

I believe God chose each and every one of us to do a work for him.  I thank God for the opportunity to be a Sunday school teacher and to share His word with the kids in class.  I am amazed at how God will speak to us through His word.

The kids always keep me on my toes!  I do want to be found in God's will in all things because the kids are always watching and listening.  It's a blessing to watch the kids grow in the natural and in the spiritual.  I believe they will all grow up to do a special work for the Lord.  We always have a great time learning and having fun in class.

I would be nothing without Jesus!  He has blessed me and my family for many years, and I give him thanks for every day.  I am blessed to be in God's Family and I'm excited to see what God has in store!

God bless you in Jesus name,

Sis. Samantha

Bro. Jason Shoumake - Minister & Sunday School Teacher

Minister

The Lord is Great and Greatly to be Praised!

I praise the Lord and thank Him for one more day.  Psalm 146:2 states, "While I live will I praise the Lord:  I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being."

As long as there is breath in my body, I want to be found praising the Lord.  He has been too good to me.

The Lord has blessed me with a wonderful wife - Missy - and two wonderful children - A.J. and Bethany.  The Lord has blessed me with a house to live in, food to eat, and a good job to provide for my family.  The Lord has been good to me, and He is worthy to be praised.

But I know if I lose my job tomorrow, or if something tragic happens in my life, the Lord still is great and greatly to be praised.  No matter what the circumstances are in my life, the Lord is still worthy of all the praise and all the honor.

I would also like to thank the Lord for my parents that took me to church and that taught me right from wrong.  They helped me get started on the right track, but it took more than that.  There had to come a day when I had to make up my mind that I was going to serve the Lord.  We will either live our life for the Lord or we will live our life for the Devil.

According to Matthew 6:24, "No man can serve two masters:  for either he will hate the one, and love the other: or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other.  Ye cannot serve God and mammon."  There is no neutral ground, we will either be a servant for the Lord or we will be a servant for this world.

But I will stand firm and bold as Joshua did when he said, "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."

Sunday School Teacher

I count it as a privilege to be thought of as a Sunday school teacher.  The opportunity to work with the youth of the church is very important.  Most young people and/or teenagers are in the "valley of decision" and are not really sure which way to go.  They face peer pressure at school, work, and even at home.

My main goal as a Sunday school teacher would be to help them realize that Jesus is the answer to every question of life.  Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.

God bless you in Jesus name,

Bro. Jason Shoumake

John 15:13

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friend.

What a Friend we have in Jesus!  I love the Lord.  He is great and greatly to be praised.  He is doing a magnificent work in this day and hour.  It says in the Bible that in the last days he would pour out his Spirit upon all flesh.  I truly believe he is pouring out the Holy Ghost to those that are hungry for it.  He is the same yesterday and today and forever.

Love in Christ,
Bro. Brandon Butler

Praise the Lord!

I love God with all of my heart.  He is so worthy of my praise.  I am so thankful that He made a change in my life.  I've been baptized in Jesus name.  He filled me with the Holy Ghost, something that the world didn't give and the world can't take it away.  Acts 2:38  Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

What a sacrifice that Jesus made so that I might have eternal life.  I'm glad that I have dedicated my life to Him, a solider in the army of the Lord.

I'm thankful that I have accepted the calling that God has placed on my life.  And I'm thankful for such a loving and supporting person he has given to me, my wife, Amanda.

I want to give Him all that I've got.  It is worth it all just to reach out to someone or touch a lost soul.  It is the responsibility of the church to win souls to the Lord.  James 5:20 says, Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

Time is short and I want to reach out to as many as possible.  There is a harvest waiting.  When will you begin to work in it?  Eternity is too long to be wrong.  I want to be found busy about my Father's business, ready at all times.  It is such a privilege to work for the Lord in the day and hour that we live in.

God bless you in Jesus name,

Bro. Justin Martin

We, the undersigned, Students of the Natural Sciences, desire to express our sincere regret that researchers into scientific Truth are perverted by some in our own times into occasion of casting doubt upon the truth and authenticity of the Holy Scriptures.  We conceive that it is impossible for the Word of God written in the book of nature, and God's Word written in Holy Scripture, to contradict one another.  Physical science is not complete, but is only in a condition of progress.
- 800 scientists of Great Britain, recorded in the Bodelian Library, Oxford

The Bible is the Book of faith and a Book of doctrine and a Book of morals and a Book of religion of special revelation from God:  but it is also a Book which teaches man his responsibility, his own dignity, and his equality with his fellowman.
