Salvation

Acts 2:38   Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Some would stop at this verse, but we don't stop here.  There's more!

Acts 2:42   And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

Hebrews 6:1   Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

Paul speaks of his daily walk with God in I Corinthians 15:31:
I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

Romans 6: 1 - 7
1) What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2)  God forbid.  How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
3)  Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4)  Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5)  For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
6)  Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

We must stop sinning and continue on in the Lord!

Colossians 3: 9 - 10
9)  Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
10)  And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

Romans 12: 1 - 2
1)  I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2)  And be not conformed to this worldbut be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

I Corinthians 6: 19 - 20
19)  What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
20)  For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
